Welcome to The Happiness Institute

The Happiness Institute is a different approach to mental health and well-being. The Happiness Institute is designed to meet people where they are. Each person has their own measure and purpose for living their best life. I meet people in their environment, either virtually or in person.

Through Motivational Interviewing and a person-centered, strengths-based approach, I will partner with you to make choices that align with your values, leverage your strengths, and progress towards your goals.

Executive Functioning Skill Development

Executive functioning is more than being organized. People of all ages have both strong EFs and areas of challenge. I will work with you to discover how your brain functions optimally and explore strategies to enhance your effectiveness and efficiency in daily life.

About Tamara Hamilton, LCSW, CMBT

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a career that spans over three decades. I earned my Master’s Degree from the Indiana University School of Social Work and hold a graduate certificate in Mind, Brain, and Teaching from the School of Education at Johns Hopkins University. My style is informative, warm, and engaging. After completing the Cognitive-Based Compassion Training at Emory University’s Center for Contemplative Science, I incorporate meditation and compassion practices into my work and everyday life. Humor is one of my core strengths, and for the past 7 years, I have been a company member at Whole World Improv Theatre in Atlanta, GA. The blending of my training in neurolearning, clinical social work, and improvisational skills has allowed me to connect deeply with others. I strive to promote happiness in all aspects of life, and my goal is to foster well-being and joy through my practice.
